The Committee

The Hall is managed for the benefit of the community by the Church Hall Committee, a small group of volunteers. The Committee meets once every 2 months, so 6 meetings a year. Under the terms of the governing document the members are obliged to have at least 4 a year. The minutes of these meetings can be found below.

What We Believe

The Hall was built for the community and the committee strongly believe it should be available to all who require it serving the entire local community of residents and non-residents for the purpose of meetings, education, recreation and leisure.  The friendly committee of volunteers look after the maintenance and improvement of the Hall facilities, with the object of improving the quality of life for Ingoldisthorpe residents and those of the surrounding area.

Licenses and Insurance

  • We pay for Public Liability Insurance, to protect ourselves if any user of the hall has an accident.

  • As part of the Parochial Church Committee we have a Safeguarding Policy covering events we organise ourselves.

  • Users that run classes have to have their own insurance too.

  • We pay annually for a Small Lotteries license so that we can have raffles.

  • If we are organising our own event, for example the Christmas party, we buy a temporary events license which permits us to have performing artists and sell alcohol.

  • The Diocese provides buildings and contents insurance.
